Il Pidion BIP-5000 è un PDA di tipo rugged (IP 65) con lettore laser e fotocamera CMOS da 2 mega pixel.
Display ad alta definizione da 3.5" QVGA, semi permeabile per supportare immagini di alta qualità.
Dotato di CPU Intel PXA320 da 806MHZ ed equipaggiato con l’ultima versione di Windows Mobile 6.1.
La comunicazione “full-radio” consente di sceglire il tipo di comunicazione: GSM/GPRS/EDGE, WIFI e Bluetooth incorporati.
Supporta inoltre la connessione GPS, memorie aggiuntive tipo mini SD e comunicazione IrDA.
Il Kit include anche la culla per la comunicazione con il pc (connsessione USB) e la ricarica della batteria (possibilità di ricarica anche una batteria aggiuntiva contemporaneamente a quella montata sul terminale grazie all'apposito slot)
